“Your About Page Is Not About You”
(spoiler: It’s actually about them)

let’s be honest…most About Pages sound like someone’s LinkedIn bio took a nap on a keyboard.

“Founded in 2016, we strive to innovate and synergize cutting-edge solutions that…”
😴 Wake up. Nobody came here to read a corporate bedtime story.

here’s the truth bomb :

Your About Page isn’t actually about you. it’s about your visitor.

They don’t want your origin story (yet). They want to know:

  • “can these people solve my problem?”

  • “do they get me?”

  • “why should I trust them?”

think of your About Page like a dinner party.
you don’t kick things off with your entire life story…you find common ground, crack a joke, and make your guest feel at home.

Then you talk about yourself (strategically).

here’s a quick fix:
start with their world.

show you understand their needs.

then weave in your story as the solution.

bad copy :

“We’re a team of passionate experts in cloud-based solutions.”

good copy :

“If you’ve ever wanted to throw your laptop out the window because of a clunky tool…same. That’s why we built this.”

your About Page is a mirror, not a megaphone.

Reflect your visitor’s needs first, then earn the right to talk about yourself.

now go give that dusty About Page a little personality makeover
